On a trip to Sitlakhet, I took a few snaps of the sky using a long exposure (the bulb setting) a tripod and a remote release for the shutter. In most of the cases, I used a 15 to 25-second exposure.
The best results came with a shorter exposure as it was possible to capture pin-point snaps of the stars. With longer exposure came the danger of capturing the movement of the stars.
