A Confirmation Service at the Church of the Epiphany

Date: August 9, 2026

Event Overview

On the 9th of August, 2026, the Church of the Epiphany hosted a highly anticipated and deeply moving Confirmation Service. The event marked a significant spiritual milestone for the congregation, bringing together families, friends, and church members to witness nine candidates officially affirm their faith. The confirmation service was led by the Rt. Revd. Bishop of Delhi (CNI) Dr. Paul Swaroop and he was assisted by the Presbyter in Charge of the Church, Revd. Prateek Pillay and Revd. Samuel Richmond.

The Ceremony and Atmosphere

The service was conducted with grace and reverence by the Right Revd. Dr. Paul Swaroop. His presence added a profound sense of spiritual weight to the occasion. His sermon was very apt, and he talked about the need for transformation, a transformation of the heart.

The atmosphere within the church was electric yet deeply reverent. Long before the service began, the church was packed to the pews. Parents and family members eagerly awaited the proceedings with visible enthusiasm and pride. For the nine candidates and their parents, the ceremony was a solemn and beautiful moment—a public declaration and affirmation of their lifelong faith. It was clear that this was a highly cherished and long-awaited moment for the entire congregation. The candidates confirmed today were: Arnav, Nimishia, Angelica, Shifa, Jane, Aarush, Aadi, Veronica, and Abhay.

The Choir led by Timothy was amazing, and the numbers played in the church were outstanding!

It was an absolute honor to serve as the official photographers for this momentous event. Capturing the earnest expressions of the candidates, the pride in their parents' eyes, and the vibrant, packed pews of the Church of the Epiphany was a deep privilege. The photographs will undoubtedly serve as lasting testaments to a day filled with faith, family, and fellowship.

Fellowship and Conclusion

Following the solemnity of the Confirmation service, the event transitioned into a warm and joyous celebration of fellowship. The function concluded with a beautiful fellowship meal, allowing the newly confirmed members, their families, the Bishop, and the congregation to break bread together, share their joy, and celebrate the spiritual milestone as a united community.
