On the 6th. of November, 2011, we were graced by The Rt.Revd. Sunil Singh, the Bishop of the Diocese of Delhi, Revd.Prabhakar Malhan, the Secretary of the Diocese of Delhi, the Very Revd. Pamela Tankersley, Ex-Moderator of New Zealand, and Ryhan Prasad a representative of The Friends of Jagadhri, and, of course, we had the Presbyter in charge Revd.George Lazar. The Church was packed to capacity as many church-goers had turned up to welcome their Bishop! No doubt it was also an emotional homecoming moment for Sharon, the daughter of Dr.Chisholm. The visitors from New Zealand had come to Jagadhri to attend the Centennial Celebrations of the Christian Hospital, Jagadhri. Also present for Mass were Dr.Cecil Harrison, the Director of the Christian Hospital, Jagadhri, his Wife Dr.Naina Harrison and their two children. The choir of the Christian Hospital presented the Congregation with some lively hymns. The women’s Church Choir also sang some lively hymns. The Church Organist, Mr.Salim played very well on the Church synthesiser.Without saying much, I have pasted below some photographs of the occasion:
And we were told that this was a saree that Sharon’s parents had gifted to her when she was Thirteen years old!
